The Lexington Visitors Center serves as a one-stop shop for information about the history of Lexington, Massachusetts.  It was built in 1965 in anticipation of the Nation’s Bicentennial in 1975 and has seen a significant increase in visitors over the years, growing from 45,500 visitors in 1966 to an estimated 120,000 annually.

The center is often the first stop for visitors in Lexington, serving as the Gateway of Hospitality, Information, Tourism, and Cultural Resources. It offers historical rooms, a gift shop, restrooms, and bus parking. The Liberty Ride Trolley Tours and Battle Green Tours depart from the Visitors Center

The center also provides private step-on tour guides in colonial costumes who guide the tour through Lexington and then follow the Battle Road to Concord. The town is planning to celebrate its 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Lexington in 2025.
