If you are traveling to Lexington on April 19, 2025, public transit is highly recommended. The amount of parking will be limited, and there will be significant road closures beginning on Friday, April 18.
Intercommunity Shuttles & Public Transportation
Shuttle bus service between Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, and Arlington will operate out of the Park Drive Circle, near the Center Recreation Complex. One route will run between Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord. Another route will run between Lexington and Arlington. MBTA bus service to and from Alewife Station will also have a pick-up/drop-off location in the Park Drive Circle.
Lexington & Concord Intercommunity Shuttle
19 shuttles will run continuously from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The shuttle will make four stops:
- Park Drive, Lexington
- Minute Man National Historic Park Visitors Center, Lincoln
- Hartwell Tavern, Lincoln
- Concord Museum, Concord

Five shuttles will operate continuously from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The shuttle will make only two stops:
- Park Drive, Lexington
- Russell Common Municipal Lot, Arlington
MBTA Bus Service
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s 62/76 bus services Lexington on Saturdays. Extra service will run on Saturday, April 19, 2025, between Park Drive in Lexington and Alewife Station. Due to road closures, detours will be in place, so the bus may not stop at all usual locations.

Please refer to the MBTA’s online schedule for the 62/76 bus for the most up-to-date information about service. Buses will run every 20-22 minutes or less.
General Satellite Parking
Six satellite parking lots have been secured on or around Hartwell Avenue. Shuttle buses will operate back and forth from these lots to a designated pick-up and drop-off area on Worthen Road, near the intersection of Bedford Street. These lots are first come, first served, and there is no cost.
Shuttles
The shuttle ride will be approximately five to ten minutes long, depending on traffic. The pick-up and drop-off area on Worthen Road is approximately five to seven minutes walking distance from the Battle Green.
40 shuttles will operate between the satellite parking lots and Worthen Road, running from approximately 2:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Public portable restrooms, including accessible portable restrooms, will be available in each lot.
Shuttles will not be available to those attending the Bicentennial Band Concert on the evening of April 19 following the performance. Attendees who utilize satellite parking should plan to retrieve their vehicles and park somewhere in Town before the concert.
All parking lots have restrooms on site.

Parking Closer to Lexington Center
Smaller parking areas closer to Lexington Center have been designated as event parking. Lot locations and approximate walking times to the Battle Green are listed below. These lots are open to the public on a first come, first served basis. No transportation is provided between these lots and Lexington Center.

*The parking area at Bridge Elementary School is approximately 20-30 minutes walking distance from the Battle Green. Individuals with bicycles are encouraged to use this lot to park their vehicles before riding into Lexington Center.
Handicapped & Accessible Parking
Two lots in Lexington Center have been designated exclusively for handicapped and accessible parking.
- Depot Lot (Adjacent to 9 Meriam Street) — Accessible by vehicle via Meriam Street
- 16 Clarke Street — Accessible by vehicle via Raymond Street
Bicycle Parking
Four bike corrals will be set up around town. Riders are strongly encouraged to utilize the Minuteman Bikeway, especially as crowds grow leading up to the parade. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, or other forms of recreational wheeled transportation are not allowed to be used on the sidewalk in Lexington Center. For example, one is able to walk a bike, but cannot peddle such bike.
